- In a bowl, soak the bread in water for a few seconds, then squeeze out excess and crumble.
- Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, crumbled bread, egg, olive oil, and all the spices including Aleppo pepper flakes.
- Mix thoroughly by hand until the mixture is smooth and sticky.
- Shape into small oval patties using damp hands.
- Let the patties rest in the fridge for 20–30 minutes.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Grill sliced tomatoes and green peppers in the same pan.
- Serve warm with vegetables and ayran or pita.
